Chris E. Paterson, PhD has been with CareGuide since July 2004 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 2005. Dr. Paterson is the former President of the Central Region of UnitedHealth Groups AmeriChoice Corporation. Prior to that, Dr. Paterson worked with Merit Behavioral Care Corporation as Executive Vice President of the Eastern Division and President of Tennessee Behavioral Health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Paterson has been responsible for all aspects of operations, strategic planning and the introduction of innovative care management models and programs. Dr. Paterson has served on the boards of such entities as the City of Philadelphia Department of Health and the American Heart Association Southeastern Pennsylvania Region. A graduate of Ohio State University, Dr. Paterson interned at the University of Florida and served on the faculty of the University of Miami early in his career.
