Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Ranking Member Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, released a set of a set of health care policy options for public comment on April 28.

The proposals address pay-for-performance, chronic care management, health information technology, comparative effectiveness research and other measures aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the U.S. health care system. The set of policy options is the first of three to be released by the committee, with each one focused on a different aspect of health care.
